"Dracula Lives"
Mon, Dec 16, 2013
The Rhode Island Blood Center would like to thank our members for reaching a major milestone this past weekend. Blood drives were held this past December 6th and December 13th at the Union Hall. Including these blood drives, the members of Local 51 have donated over 1000 pints of blood over the past 7 years. Many lives have been touched by the generousity of our members. A special thanks to our Training Coordinator, Dave Marland who has helped spearhead these blood drives over this period of time. Congratulations to Dave and our members for a job well done

Annual Retiree Cookout
Tue, Sep 3, 2013
On August 28th the annual Retirees cookout was held at the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 51 union hall in East Providence, R.I. This years cookout was well attended, with over 100 retirees taking part in the event. It was nice to see so many retirees sharing an old story and a laugh together.
A special thanks to the office staff who helped organize, set up, and cook for our retirees.
Let us not forget that our retirees are the foundation on which our local union was built. Hope to see everyone again next year. Go to the photo gallery for photos of the cookout..
